Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is a reconstructive operation aimed at correcting vaginal laxity caused by childbirth, age or other factors, and at restoring the pelvic floor muscles and anatomy. The goal is not only aesthetic: restoring the pelvic floor can also positively affect the function of the organs located there — the uterus, bladder and rectum.
What is it?
Surgical tightening of the vaginal canal and restoration of muscular support (anterior-posterior colporrhaphy). Performed in sterile operating-room conditions under anesthesia.
Who is it for?
For women who after childbirth experience a feeling of laxity, reduced sensation, weakened perineal muscles, air sounds, or a related loss of confidence. Suitability is determined only by examination.
Risks?
Results are individual — the concept of a "lifetime guarantee" does not exist in medicine. Future births, age and tissue characteristics can affect the result; realistic expectations are discussed openly at the consultation.
Who is it intended for?
- A feeling of laxity and reduced sensation after childbirth
- Weakened perineal muscles, improperly healed birth sutures
- Air sounds during intimacy, everyday discomfort
- Cases combined with stress urinary incontinence — correction in the same session is possible
Treatment approach
The operation is painless under anesthesia; if needed, urinary incontinence correction is performed in the same session. One night of observation in the clinic is usually enough; in some cases same-day discharge is possible. The recovery period is individual and proceeds under staged medical supervision; return to intimate life is usually possible after 6–8 weeks, following a check-up. After childbirth it is recommended to wait at least 6 months — if you plan to give birth in the future, be sure to mention it at the consultation. The entire process is fully confidential.
